Ended up reading about Yootha Joice the other day whilst on a tangent from from Ms Winehouse. I thought she was great in George and Mildred and what do you know, she's the woman on the Smith's record cover in Stuckinthe80's' avatar. Didn't recognise her!
What a fantastic actress yootha was.
she died young was only in her fifties.
Here she is.

She was great .Even more so when you find out she was drunk most of the time.
She was good in Man About The House and the film "Our Mother's House."

Yes in Kenneth Williams' diary he talks about working with her and says she was always professional and it wasn't apparent that she had an alcohol problem.
Certainly wouldn't know it from watching her.

She had an interesting walk-on part in the pilot of Open All Hours. Somehow fittingly her character is returning some deposit bottles to the shop.

Id never have imagined she had a drink problem mate.
Perhaps that was a reason she passed away so young.
Apparently she was a randy so and so too. Lol

Lol :).
She died of liver failure. Apparently she became depressed about her career in later years because she feared she was typecast after the success of George and Mildred.
