The other night I was lucky enough to stumble upon the one and only Roger Walker (of Rainbow (http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.php?memID=1396) fame) as he played some brilliant banjo at The Sussex Arms (http://www.thesussexarmstwickenham.co.uk/) in Twickenham, Greater London. And what a lovely guy he is - not only did he pose for a photo, he asked to be friends on Facebook (you can find him here (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=716336132)).

Roger has worked extensively in television, from the 70s onwards - you may remember him for his role as a presenter/musician on kids' TV classics Rainbow (http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.php?memID=1396) (1976-1981) and Bodger and Badger (1989), or as Kipper in Big Deal (http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.php?memID=783) (1984-1986), and even his role as Bunny in Eldorado (http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.php?memID=9116) (1992-1993). His acting is still going strong, too, with Roger more recently bagging guest parts in Heartbeat, Doc Martin, EastEnders and Holby City. Nothing beats Rainbow in our eyes though!

Spotted a star from the 70s, 80s or 90s? Let us know what they're up to now - we're always interested.

Hooray! It's Roger! I remember commenting about him in the Rainbow thread - how he was largely forgotten due to the overriding memories of Rod, Jane and Freddie. Nice photo and always good to hear that people are nice when you meet them.

a bit of info about roger i found

rogers first television appearance was as a replacement for Matthew Corbett as a singer on the popular childrens television show Rainbow in 77.
He appeared on the show for two years, before being replaced by Freddy Marks in 1980.
