Hi everybody!

ok, this is a bit of an obscure one but around either 1997/1998 I remember my friend used to play this track all the time and I can't remember what it was called or who the artist was... helpful huh?!

Anyway, all I know is that it utilised a vocoder, it was very uplifting, kind of electronic sounding, very hard to explain but just one guy singing and I think they/he might have been the entirety of the 'band' but I can't remember that either...doh! lol

anyway, if anyone remembers this song or knows where I can find a listing of indie/alternative tracks released for these years I would be soooooooooo grateful!!!!

Anything else you can remember about the track? as not that many songs use the Vocoder. (I have one on one of my synths but rarely use it):confused:

Daft Punk?? Around the world?? or something by Air?? both around 97/98 mark

I'm sorry my mind is drawing a blank - I know it was released around the same time as 'the patio song' by Gorkys Zygotic Mynci and I remember recording it off radio 2 one night lol but that's about it, like I say it had kind of an electronic sort of feel to it, I'm sure you prob think I'm mad and I'm wondering that myself! lol I really appreciate your help though, if I can think of anything else I will let you know!

nope, it's not by a well-known band/artist, to the best of my knowledge it was the only track released by them/him that got airplay at the time.

only track I remember of his is analogue bubblebath - I need to find a list of indie singles from that year I think lol - could be a long list though!

could be actually - need to have a listen to some of their tracks but it's a possibility - I'll let you know - I'm off to iTunes to dig a bit deeper!
