Anyone a fan of the old original reggae songs from the seventies?

The Pioneers
John Holt
Barry Biggs
Dandy Liuvingstone
Ken Boothe
Barrington Levy
Pluto Shervington
Dennis Brown

Still absolutely adore reggae, just wondered if anyone else shares a passion for this type of music. (Even got hubby to take me to Jamaica last Year so I could hear it all first hand with the atmosphere, and a Rum Punch LOL)

70s 80s reggae is great on hot summer days cruising in an old car you just polished up (or got someone else to do it)

Beautiful music. Great for setting the mood on a nice hot day passing round a jug of something refreshing or equally for cheering up those dark winter evenings trying to avoid stabbing the cat.
And may I add to your excellent list:

Peter Tosh
U-Roy
Burning Spear
Steel Pulse
Black Uhuru
Jimmy Cliff
Lee 'Scratch' Perry and the Upsetters
Prince Buster
Toots & The Maytals

Reggae: The gift that keeps on giving.

Most of the stuff from Trojan records in the early 70's is magic ... I have a vinyl called Trojan Explosion with most of the artists mentioned above.
