Friend of mine is having a birthday party at the end of this month and she wants everyone to come as the year they were born.

I was born in 1972.

Apart from the obvious has anyone got any suggestions on what I could go as? I've looked on various sites and so far I've come up with either;

Liza Minelli in Cabaret
The Godfather
Alice Cooper

Any good advice would be very welcome!

Any clues on the month you were born Mojo? might help narrow a few options down :)

My first thought was as yourself as a baby, Nappy, dummy and a rattle and yer away lol, might be a bit cold tho:p

August - Alice Cooper's Schools Out was no.1.

Funny you say that huggie, my Mum is going too and I asked if I could wear a blanket and be tied to her with a bungee clip but strangely enough she said no!

A lot of huge political stuff happened that year.....not really what you'd wanna portray at a party ie Bloody sunday and the munich olympics??

I like the whole Alice cooper idea!! Met him in boots in November! He was getting throat sweets!! HA!

First women admitted to Dartmouth College in 1972

So you could go as a WREN :)

Tell you what if you're really pushed.....

Women were allowed to compete in the Boston Marathon for the first time.....

You could get away with a tracksuit (but only as a last resort I think) ;)

Got it in one stevef !
The same teams won the League ( Utd ) , FA Cup ( L'pool ), All-Ireland Hurling ( Tipperary ) and Gaelic Football ( Galway ) in both the years of my birth and my wedding.
Doubt the same horse won the National tho...

I've decided. I'm going as Zippy. I will hire the costume and paint my face as I doubt the Zippy head will have a hole to let the drink in!

Thanks guys!

Have fun and don't forget to come back and tell us how it went :p

Somehow I just can't picture myself dressed as one of the Beatles. Though I do like their Pierre Cardin suits.
