Like I started looking through this Jelly thread and all I could think about was going to parties as a kid and you had to take your own spoon for jelly/custard .

Disposable plastc ones were unheard of and most houses only had a half dozen or so, mine always had a bit of blue wool and a bit of red wool tied round handle so I could identify it to take back home ( cos we only had a limited amount as well!)

Woe betide you if you got back home and didn't hand the spoon back, next day you had to go and claim it back

i remember that packaging so well.
