What's that in the sky? Eek it's a UFO!

I've remembered a time at school when I was absolutely convinced that I had seen a UFO. I was about 6 and playing in the yard when a huge grey object came floating over the school roof and went off into the distance. Everyone went silent and stopped and stared at it and that night I went running home to tell my parents and wondered why it wasn't on the news. I eventually realised years later that it must have been an air ship, but a little part of me still isn't convinced ;). Anyone else see something strange in the sky as a child?

Not UFO's - but, I was 5 in 1970 and I remeber lying looking up and seeing triangular wing formation with vapour trails and a distinctive jet noise being emitted (if any of you have been lucky enough to have seen or heard one of these?) Amazing beautiful aircraft!

I was awe struck, and remeber being impressed by it - and one day my Dad said "They are Vulcanss !" we live near the old Bitterswell Aerodrome (now a logistics park for Asda and Lidl )
