Looking for an arcade game...

Description:
2D Side scrolling beat 'em up... similar to Captain Commando.
You could choose from a selection of 4 different characters, and each one has a different style of combat and weapons.

Each character can summon a different pet once the power bar is full.
Animals are... I think: A Giant snake (Cobra), a Wolf, an Eagle, and a Dragon... maybe.

I forgot the name and can't rember... any ideas?

Metamorphic Force? It had 4 characters who could transform into beasts rather than summon them, and they weren't the same creatures you listed.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, and although the game is very similar... that's not the one I'm looking for.

A few more details:
Game is based on recent times.
Characters have weapons from the start. Like sword, etc...
Characters are: A ninja, a samurai, a soldier, and something else I can't remember. If I'm not mistaken.

However, I think you are right about one thing... actually now that you mentioned, I think the characters did morph into the pet rather then summoning them.
But I'm pretty sure one of them was a snake.

Anyway, thanks for all the help, and I guess this is one of those lost treasures that I will never find again.

Unless I spend a lot of time looking for it in every single Arcade database there is... but that would take months.
I don't have the strenght, patiente or time haha.

There is an emulator for the pc called M.A.M.E. (Multi Arcade.Machine.Emulator.) For it there was a large romset of games including the original arcade machine games.from 1980 onwards.I won't post any links but you won't have trouble finding them if you type in google MAME.and MAME ROM SETS.3-4000 games where avaliable in the past.

The problem is your description and lack of the mention of even a platform (e.g. PC, Amiga etc) means it could be any number of games as many include pets. If it isn't the above game I would sugest looking through this list to see if you can remember the name: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_beat_%27em_ups

Unfortunately without a platform to go with or additional information as I said above this could be any one of a large number of games that feature 4 players + pets!

The game is an arcade game... you know those coin op machines?!
It's very similar to sengoku.
Side scroller, 2d beat em up.

Other than that, don't know what else to say...
