Is anyone else on here old enough to have seen this event at London Zoo?

It apparently ended in 1972, but was a regular event from the 1930s.
I saw it only once, and found it lots of fun to watch at the time.

I was also lucky enough to see Guy the gorilla and Chi Chi the panda, who were huge celebrities there in their time.

No never saw that but I did go to Bourne to see a show put on by the PG Tips chimps circa 1965 that was lots of fun too. I remember Guy & Chi Chi but never saw either of them :-(

Yep, I saw it there once, as a nipper. I also had a postcard with it on too...in fact somewhere I still have it. I'll post it up if I can find it.
