earliest I have are around the 88-90s with Poison and Bonjovi on them...nice to keep hold of though....I think i had a badge maker at one point.

You have a Scars badge! I have the album Fear of the Dark by the Scars and I've not found anyone else who remembers them!:)

Wonderful collection, sixtyten. I decided I wanted to collect badges back in the late 70s and early 80s - but I don't think my heart was really in it. LOl.

I had a little blue badge with a white dove on it that I wore for years. The peace symbol, I think.

That seems to ring a bell...I'll have to look that out. I've been on other nostalgia sites and not found anyone who remembered the Scars. Grinning like an idiot here now! :D

I didn't know it was reissued - don't get me on how much better things were in the old days when you had something substantial for your money and didn't need a magnifying glass to examine the sleeve notes...

Mine proberbly lost in the loft But i have some 1950s and a 1938 butlins.Some newer ones also.But not to hand.last ones i had were problerby 1980s.Oh i had a radio nottingham magic microphone club from around 1970-72.

I still collect vintage foodstuff badges, but not so much band badges anymore.
Those were just my faves from when I was at school (left in '82)

The 'Black Eagle' badge is a Stranglers Raven badge, I got when I saw them live in 1981

God I want that Dredd one!
Its not a proper badge as such, just a pressed light metal shield that came with 2000 ad.
It does not have a pin or anything, when I got it new it just had a peel off sticker on the back.
Its rather badly made, but if you let me know your address, I'll post it to you if you want it

I did collect badges in the 80's along with pencil erasers and toppers, all have sadly been lost over the years.
I once bought a big job lot of advertising badges off ebay,
but its not the same has having a collection you lovingly and painstakingly collected yourself over a number of years,
the personal attachment just wasn't there, so I passed on a few and threw out the rest in a resent house move.

I have got some Japan and David Slyvian badges still!

I used to have (probably still have somewhere) a tub with badges in.

I can remember has a kid, I really liked Rainbow (the TV programme). My dad wrote to Thames TV asking if it would be possible for them to send me one of the badges that Geoffrey, Rod, Jane, Freddy wore on the show. Thames TV sent me a badge. I can remember been ecstatic when my dad told me that they had sent me one :)

If I can ratch them out, I'll put some pictures on here.
