  1. Mail Order Albums

I remember in the 1980s & 1990s there were a lot of compilations that were only sold by mail order or over the phone, normally combined with a TV advert, often stating Not Available In Any Shop! In the late 1980s there was the option of getting a copy on X records, Y tapes or Z CD's. Tellydisc...

  9. ABBA Mania

Just been to see the Abba Mania show tonight in Sunderland. It was fantastic, anyone who's a fan of Abba and the show comes near to where you live go! They looked like they really enjoyed themselves performing, and the singer who is Agnetha is a tremendous singer and performer, and Frida...

It's not a memory but a forthcoming event ,they playing early August about five mins away from my house. Was all geared up to see em but at the weekend this Scottish bloke in pub mentioned them and said they were 'mince', everyone there grinned and nodded. Two queries: - What and why is...

  11. Summer of 84 concert - Wembley Stadium

Did anyone else go to this concert on June 30th 1984? The main artist was Elton John, but I only wanted to go to see my favourite Nik Kershaw! Also playing were Kool & The Gang and Wang Chung amongst others. This concert was so good.

  16. Embarrassing Gigs

Ok, so we've had memorable gigs and so on, but what is the most embarrassing gig that you have ever been to that you will admit to (come on, we are all friends here!). Showing what a big eejit I am, and of course, that I'm game for a laugh, I'll go.... New Kids On The Block, Wembley, in about...

Ive been to quite a few concerts but the best ever has got to be the Who. We seen them at a festival near liverpool a couple of years ago after years of wanting to see them. 18. Poll Poll: Anyone off to see Wacko Jacko at the o2?

I went to see Michael Jackson twice. First time was the Dangerous Tour, I was "dangerously" near the front at Wembley and nearly got flattened when he popped out of the stage at the beginning. Brilliant gig though. The second time was the History Tour, was abit further back this time so managed...

  19. Thumbs up Henley Rewind Festival August 21-23, 2009

Hiya, Just wondering if anyone else is venturing to this festival? I was speaking to the promoter of this when I went to the Greatest 80s Party at Blickling Hall in July and she said ticket sales are going remarkably well and they're expecting about 30,000 people over the weekend. ...

  20. Quadrophenia the Rock Opera

I saw Quadrophenia, the musical of the classic 70's WHO LP and film recently and it was fantastic. Very true to the LP rather than the film. All the actors are mainly unknowns but after this show has finished then most should go on to other things. If you are a fan of THE WHO or loved the film or...
