  • Mining drama from the early '70s

This is a long shot and I don't expect anyone to be able to help me with it, but here goes-

There was a drama series on TV in the very early '70s based around miners, possibly tin miners in Cornwall. As I was only about 3 when it was on I don't recall an further details, but for the fact that the end credits used to really freak me out- every set of credits that came up featured the face of one of the miners, no music but a ghostly echoing double-thump that spooked the hell out of me, 'bump-bump'. The credits ended with a photo of the outside of a stone-built cottage.
This MAY have been a comedy, I'm not sure- the main thing I remember is that awful spooky double-beat, I hated it- gave me nightmares.
