Dr Who / The Six Million Dollar Man

Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused here, so would really appreciate some help in trying to identify a program I'm thinking of.

Ok, I think it's an episode of Dr Who (Tom Baker?), but can't be 100% sure, because for some reason, I've a nagging doubt telling me it could be The Six Million Dollar Man. All I can remember is the hero was fighting/battling a sort of tank thing! By tank, I mean it was a silver robot type tank with a turret, but I don't think it had any tank-tracks, more of a skirt type base with some wire mesh bits bolted on here and there. I don't think the turret fired missiles, maybe lasers though? I think the battle was outside in some kind of woodland (green trees, mud paths) , and for some reason I recall railway tracks or something similar. I was pretty scared of this thing at the time, and I can't even remember the output of the battle (although the hero will have won somehow I guess).

It's been driving me mad for ages, so I'd love to find out what it was - any help really appreciated

Ha! Thanks to both of you for your help, that's exactly what I was looking for! Really strange how my mind's confused the two. I'm not surprised I was scared as a kid though...
