I can't remember the name of the presenter, but I used to enjoy Yorkshire TV's 'Farmhouse Kitchen' in the early 80s. The recipes were straightforward and usually didn't require exotic ingredients--just stuff that was easily available or even sitting already in your larder.

I have a cookbook from The Farmhouse Kitchen, which was my Mum's for years & passed on to me when she had a clearout.

Richard, I seem to remember the tie-in recipe book so perhaps my mom or gran also had a copy.
