        Great thread idea O.P! In my original local Home Town (which was only like a large village - but like 20/25 years since we had 3 or 4 in the main shopping street) ... now you'd be lucky to find 1 at best I guess. It's amazing to think back what these shops consisted of then no doubts!

          There are quite a lot of fruit and veg shops close to where I live and most of them are owned by Kurds.

              Apples wrapped in blue paper.
              Many of these shops used to sell cans of Tizer. One shop I remember, always seemed to have Tizer on the top shelf, never found out why.
              Who cared about rules when you were young?

                Those apples wrapped in blue paper were in purple coloured polysterene trays
