Ken Barrie who voiced Postman Pat on the show of the same name has died.

He also sang the theme song.

He died of a short battle with cancer at the age of 83

Never occured to me he did both the voice of pat and the theme song.

I bought a tape of the original 1980s Postman Pat for my son to watch in the late 90s. I found it out several years ago and showed it to the young children of my wife's friend and they loved it. Ken brought so much pleasure and happiness to millions of kids down the years with his voicing of Postman Pat.
