Was it Dogfight?
Plyaed like battleships on a vertical board

was basically a two sided plasic screen that represented the sky, and had clouds and holes for your planes to move across. One side was British planes the other German (I think). The aim of the game was to knock the opponent out of the sky by landing on the same hole as your opponent(who was on the other side).
Sorry it's a bit jumbled, but that's all I remember about it. Does anyone recollect it and what it's called?

Nah, though similar recall it being Bi planes, like the red baron or something
No, that doesn't look familiar Daz. It was one board, with clouds painted on it(something to do with being able to hide in the clouds) One player had one side and the other player had the other side. If you landed on a hole that had an opponents' plane on it, you knocked them out of the sky.
I recall it being vaguely similar huggie. Not the airl battle one, more like battleships in the basic layout.
Could have been called Battle of Britain; think the British planes were green and the German planes were grey, and there were a few anti aircraft guns which stayed at ground level (I believe). The game might have been played with cards (might have had things like barrage balloons or something - although I could be getting it mixed up with the Dads Army board game...I always remember that the vicar icon in that game appeared to be trouser-less!!!) and/or dice.
And yes, it was my brother who had it too.
That's the one rossobantam!!! I now have the unenviable task of tracking it down!
Thanks for that!![]()
