  • Well played with diecast

Much to my 5 year old son's delight I dug these out this morning. I guess as far as Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet I wasn't far off his age when I was playing with these. As you can see, I played with them a lot!

I think the good Captain is probably still in the garden back home.

This was my second Thunderbird 2. Why they changed the colour to a metallic blue/green I don't know.

My son really wanted to play with this!

No radioactive crates anymore, I'm afraid.

Wow - brings back happy memories. I don't know if ANYONE in the world has a TB2 with the legs intact - and as for the 007 Moonbuggy - WOW. Mine had almost identical damage to the 'radar' dish - until a 'friend' decided the moon buggy would look better without the pod containing James Bond - one hacksaw later.... bah! I have a collection of Eagles (all originals - no mix'n'match rebuilds!) and I hope you get as much continuing joy from yours as I do mine. Thanks for sharing.

Their light of pocket torch, of signal flare,

While others scan, under an arc-lamp's glare,
Nursery, kitchen sink, or their own faces.
