Am I going mad? I seem to remember a film based on the Norton Juster book Phantom Tollbooth. I think it starred Butch Patrick (Eddie from the Munsters) as Milo, and the action turns cartoon once he goes through the tollbooth.

I say these things in the pub and everyone looks at me as if I'd just turned into a large piece of cheese.
