    Default Watcher in the Woods

    Does anyone remember this oddity?

    It was on TV recently.

This film has always been strange, in that it is as scary as any horror, but because there's no bloodshed, it's somehow deemed a family movie and, as such, is always shown in the afternoon.

It's about an American family who move to an England country house, but weird things start happening in the woods around.

    This always spooked me.

    Anyone else seen it?

I've not seen this for years, but when I was young I found it quite freaky.

how can you not love a movie with Bette Davis!! and the little girl was in Little House on the Prairie for a bit too.
That movie was totally freaky, absolutely one of my favs, I watched it repeatedly when I was little, the music was pure horror movie music. I recently discovered thru youtube that there was an alternate ending where some giant alien creature comes out, it was totally weird, glad they didnt use it.

    Why Canada unfortunatly?
I've got a great uncle in Canada and he's as big as a house.
This film is also a big fav of mine. Saw the Alt ending - too much.
I read there was a sequence where they travel through an alternative dimention.
I think the ending they chose was best.
Leave some mystery hanging in the air.
