I remember it well.
The series was called Prospects.
hi, i'm hoping somebody out there can help me. i'm trying to found out the name of a tv show that used to be on. not sure if it's late 70's or early 80's. it was about two young lads, set in london and they were like wideboy types. one was white and one was black. i thought the white lad might have been a young ray winstone, but i can't find anything on his biography,so maybe it just looked like him. i think they used to drive around in some sort of a hearse. that's all i can remember. not sure if it was a kids show or just a general comedy drama type programme. i know i've not give much to go on,but hopefully someone will know what i'm rattling on about. fingers crossed! cheers, bluejay.

This series was very good but for some reason channel 4 never repeated it,i managed to get a copy on dvd a few years back.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendos, X-boxes, no videogames at all, no 199 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms.......... WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them
The white lad was the late Gary Olsen who was in 2.4 children. The black lad was Brian Bovell who has been in The Bill and more recently Hollyoaks
thanks everyone for your replies. that's it! prospects. i can now sleep easy at night. maybe see if i can find a copy on dvd! brilliant.
