Yep it was the only part of the program i looked forward to (being a kid i didnt get the humour)...it used to scare me a bit too...all the leather clad women marching through the town while the men were dressed as women...and to think all we needed to save us from them was a mouse.

I loved The Worm That Turned. I remember watching it as a kid and thinking it was really funny. I always likes the Two Ronnies though. Would love to have The Worm That Turned on DVD too.
      Heaven knows I'm miserable now.

I didn't like it much. I preferred the great 'Phantom Raspberry Blower Of Old London Town'. Brilliant stuff.

I too remember it and the 'Phantom Raspberry Blower'...I didn't know what 'blowing a raspberry' meant. It's not a term used in my neck of the woods. I thought he was farting.

I also liked the Charley Farley & Piggy Malone story about dead yokels dumped in central London.

Me too! Amongst the people I knew back then, it only seemed to be me that it terrified. Now I'm thinking they weren't being totally honest.

Hehe!!! Good times!! What was the Charley Farely and Pigs Malone one where all the gardeners were found murdered and planted upsidedown in holes? They'd usually be killed on the toilet.

They were very funny. Loved the Two Ronnies. But I do feel Barker was the powerhouse behind the two. Man was a genius at accents, characters and especially spoonerisms.
