Memories of Thor ..... Help please !!

After seeing a few clips of the new Thor blockbuster movie , loads of fantastic yet forgotten memories poured back into my mind about Thor in the 60's ...

I don't remember if I had read about him in a comic or if there was a cartoon series !?

Any ideas as to why I have such fond memories of the Thor character ?

Thor doesn't ghet as much as attention as The fantastic four, Spider Man and the Hulk. I'd tell you the Superman/Wonderwoman joke but this is a family forum so I'd better not. But here's a cleaner Superhero Joke.

There was a cartoon series and i think you will find that there's a few eps on YT.
I have been downloading those,Iron Man and Captain America for my bro who is a big fan of marvel comics.

I know that Superman,Wonder Woman and Invisible Man joke

I still don't know why I have such a distinct memory of loving Thor ,still cant remember if it was a comic or a TV series.

The cartoon series was made in the 60s (1966 i think) but whether or not it was shown in the UK then i do not know .The comics were certainly around then.
