Need help can't remember snake cartoon

Can anyone remember a cartoon series from the 90's I think, don't remember much about it but the main character was blue and his enemy was a snake. In the credits the snake dies and is shown in a coffin with a moskito sucking blood from him. Sound a bit weird but remember it being good and can't 4 the life of me remember what it's called - DRIVING ME MAD!!!!!!! If any one could help me out i would be gratefull.

Was the main Character a Blue Duck? Think I remember it 'Duck Tales' possibly? on Citv late 80's to early 90's...

Was it Captain Planet & The Planeteers? That's the only blue superhero I can remember although can't recall a snake.
