Patrick Troughton was brilliant in The Omen. One of the best death scenes in horror films of that time.

One of his last performances was in an early episode of Inspector Morse.

The first thing I remember him in, apart from Dr Who, was The Box Of Delights.

he starred in the episode the dead of jericho as george in his only episode of morse.

he suffered two major heart attacks one in 78 and anopther in 84.
on both occasions his dr told him to slow down workwise but he did not.

I didn't until I started to get interested in the history of Dr Who in the 1990's.
