    Re: RIP Gerry Anderson

Ah. That is bad news. Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlett all has big attention from me when I was a child.

Thunderbirds has one of the best pieces of theme music ever to grace a show. I know it wasn't composed by Anderson, but without Thunderbirds I doubt we'd have had it.

            Re: RIP Gerry Anderson

I ordered a Region 1 set of UFO which arrived on Christmas Eve. I watched episode one with Gerry's commentary on Christmas Day. I was a bit spooked out this afternoon when I learn't of his passing. I know he had suffered from dementia the last couple of years, so I hope he left us peacefully. As far as I'm concerned, Gerry was responsible for the best kids' telly ever. I'll never tire of his classics. Gerry was a legend. RIP mate.

A life long fan of Gerry's work.
Sad day but his work will live on as it has for 40+ years

If you've never seen his final work, the Brilliant New Captain Scarlet, I urge you to see it.. it really is the best thing he ever did IMHO

                    Re: RIP Gerry Anderson

Sad news, I watched many of his shows. I loved Captain Scarlet, my mate Thunderbirds and my other mate Stingray. The three of us would argue of which was better in the playground haha. Joe 90 was great too, I remember watching that on a saturday morning before Live & Kicking. Great shows, RIP Gerry Anderson.
