I remember this one! I am sure there was a series of a few different ads on the same theme and they were on a lot over Christmas?

      But, urgh - port! Yukyukyuk.

Ah yes, I remember that ad. Robin Bailey was the actor who played the English lead, don't know who the other well spoken chap was. I think the Russian was played by Richard Marner, who seems to have specialised in playing Russians and Germans in TV series and movies for years (Allo, Allo for example).

        'So I come from Moscok?'
'Yes, I think you probably do.'

        Cheers

            Re: Cockburns Port

Sorry to drag up an old thread but this was one of my Dad's favourite adverts and led to a life-long catchphrase of him saying "Yes, I think you probably do" a la Robin Bailey.

Anyway, I found this thread along the way whilst hunting down a clip of said advert and now that I've found it I thought you'd all appreciate a link.

            So here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JEgJjz3Oz4

            Enjoy!

Fantastic, great find so good to see that after such along time.

              Cheers.

I have emailed the link to a couple of work mates so tomorrow we'll be going around saying clo, so and Moscock all day lol.

All i want to see now is the Walkers advert "You'll no be having a sale will ye?" and life will be complete lol.

                  Re: Cockburns Port

These ads had the mickey taken on the Hudson and Pepperdine radio show a few years back - the duo had a landlord whose surname was pronounced 'Cohead'. You might be able to imagine how it was spelt...
