  • toy car with pull string that made sparks?

can anyone remember these? they were dragsters, with a pull string on the back, you pulled it out and let the car go, and it would emit sparks as it
zoomed away. they were pretty small, maybe 4 to 6 inches in length. i had one and my friends had them, but i cannot remember the name?

I had many wind-up,pull string or friction cars and dragsters as a kid.I seem to recall these and I collected the Matchbox/Corgi Funny cars.
    Were they metal or plastic?

I had a car that had a wind up key, and emitted spaeks when you let it go on the floor.

they were made of metal. and it was definitely a pull string, not a key. i remember the dragster i had was blue. they were about twice the size of a
regular "hot wheels" or "matchbox" type car.

I had a set in the 70's. It was made by Hot Wheels. Called "Hot Shots Cool Duel". played with them forever, made my dad wish he never bought them for me. Loved those dragsters, always used the red one.
