  • Vertibird & Merlin

All time greatest toy I ever had was Vertibird, the little flying helicopter. Im sure all will remember it and even now you can get them on ebay but a mint one went for over £400 recently. (It was a little helicopter on a rotating arm that you flew with a wired control panel)
Merlin was a handheld electronic game which had 11 red leds on it and you could play 6 different games on it. I still have my Merlin and I tested it today and it still works. Dont have my Vertibird though

I still have my Vertibird. It is the glow in the dark version. Lost the car, baracade and road years ago. It's still boxed and makes an appearance every few years when we have an 80's toy night!

Real ones are expensive, but there are a good few clones around, under "Chopper Patrol" and other titles. Full size and nowadays smaller desktop versions.
