Has any of you's seen this film?

I have only seen it once and as I remember it was filmed in Nottingham (my home town). It was made in 1994 but was set in the 70's? I can only remember a little bout it, a lad collecting tokens for something or other at school.

I can remember a mistake though during a chase scene on pushbikes, all the cars were 60's & 70's on the strett but i'm sure I saw the back end of a MK3 Escort in a driveway as they cycled past?

Is it on DVD anyone know?

I remember this. It was shown as part of a 70s weekend on Channel Four. I recorded the film and most of the other stuff they showed over the weekend.

A young Samantha Morton is in it, it may have even been one of her first film roles.

They really pulled the stops out to recreate the 70s look and feel even down to the grainy look of the film itself!

Nice to see some genuine chopper bikes used too, not the elf and safety reissues! :-)

I'll dig out the tape and maybe upload some clips to my youtube channel!

I have not only SEEN that film, I was also IN it! I played Samantha Morton's mum. It was Sam's first big film and it was evident she was going to be a superstar. I am currently writing my new book Oh Yo' Do Swear Pretty! (The previous ones were Yo'd Mek a Parson Swear!,Yo'd Mek a Parson Swear....Again! & Bog All To Swear About!) and I devote a few hundred words to the making of this gem of a film. I do have a copy!

I remember this, and I thought it really WAS made in the 1970s.

I remember the scene where the scam is uncovered, and the Headmaster bellows "FORGERIES!" in a rather dramatic fashion at the school assembly.
