  • Coca Cola Hi FI

I seem to remember a hi-fi system in the shape of a Coke can. Very tacky, like the Ferrari bed but I wanted one all the same. Anyone out there got a pic?

Wow. That looks so tasteful. Thanks Heather. If I did buy it I'd chuck out the Akura hi-fi straight away and install my own. But where's the speakers?
Also, living with this beauty must be like living with Dusty Bin in your house. It looks more like a branded rubbish bin you'd find outside a football stadium. Still, I suppose a lot of people bought it.

If you scroll down some one else asked that very question:

Q: hi there could you tel me if the speakers are built in the can thanks
A: Hi, Yes the speakers are built in. Thanks for your interest.

So I guess it would need replacing with the same sort of system. Or get the drill out,two small holes in the back and BINGO

I used to have a casette walkman in the shape of a can of coke but it broke

It will be cool, if Daz can find some old photo's of them.

Me and all my friends wanted this as kids! (Funnily enough our parents never bought us one.....looking back I wonder why?! lol)

They were always the star prize on the Live and Kicking phone-in competitions. I used to ring up everyweek wishing I would get through.... pretty glad I didn't now!

The empty cabinets turn up on bootsales sometimes. I think they did a smaller version with a cd player in too.

Super cool at the time, although I can't remember them . Coke-branded things were big though. I had a coke spinner yoyo, keyring and one of those giant coke bottle money boxes.
