  • Ice Cool Milk

Anyone remember when you could go in a pub and ask for a pint of milk or go into a cafe and see tanks of milk with the slogan ice cool milk on them?

Yep, Used to have the little square fridges with the pipe coming out the bottom.
Do they still sell Double Diamond on draft? not seen that in years

    Nice Cold Ice Cold Milk!

In fact (but I can't be sure as i don't watch TV) they don't seem to advertise Milk half as much as they used to..or am I wrong?

The Nice Cold Milk think used to be always seen in 70s programmes like The Sweeney whenever they went into a caff

No you never see milk adverts anywhere now, its quite sad but i got a leaflet through the door about a year ago from a milkman begginng for business as he was going out of business due to supermarkets. I would have liked to have helped him but i only get one bottle of milk a week.

The most recent one I can remember is for tesco's milk - remember the couple camping and he (Martin Clunes)goes off to find milk - supposedly to milk the cow. Comes back and as she takes a swig says it's so remarkable how the cows produce it refreshingly chilled

Did your parents used to buy a calendar off the milkman too? We used to always have one on the kitchen wall every year.
