  • 80s loads of wheels monster truck/stomper

    Good Hafternoon,

Does anyone remember a battery powered toy from the 80s, it had a lot of wheels (I thought 100, but that seems a bit much thinking about it, maybe 50? )

It might have been part of the stomper 4x4 trucks series because I think all its wheels were linked (so it was 50x50 or whatever) but I cant find anything about it when searching for stompers with a lot of wheels.

    Thankee.

searching the web people suggest 'truckapillar' if you put it into google images it comes up with

though some people say that truck-a-pillar is just used for the Tomy one featured in the film BIG (Monster Machines)

      Hmmmm...

Thanks for that link huggie, it could have been called The Giant, but it doesnt 'click'... you know when you think you will remember something if your brain is given a nudge in the right direction.......

I do remember on the TV advert there was a clip of it driving over a person - as mentioned in that link - though, so maybe it was The Giant.

I cant find any pictures of it (by searching for The Giant + related keywords), and if it was big enough to have a tv advert , surely someone else would have remember it as being pretty cool and uploaded a pic or two somewhere.

Thanks again for the link , I think Ill do a bit more searching

                  Hi again,

I dont think the Tomy one was it, good seeing the picture though, reminds of flicking through the catalogue 20 odd yrs ago ... ahh I wish it was the 80s again

Good watching the video as well !

Maybe it was called 'The Giant' after all, I remember being like ... <--- that when seeing it for the first time as a kid because it was so massive. It was one of those toys the rich kids had but you never did ( unless you were the rich kid of course ).

I found a comment somewhere that mentioned Tom Hanks playing with a truck that sounds similar in the film Big so Im going to try and find a copy of that to watch.
