  • Hubba Hubba Yum Yum

Anyone remember a quaker harvest crunch ad, the song went "hubba hubba yum yum". I would love to see that again.

    Yes!
I found it on You Tube, but it was removed a few weeks after. But you can still see a short version of it here: YouTube - LWT Adverts, September 1983 (1)

    Enjoy...

This jingle was based on a song entitled "Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot", which was originally recorded in 1981 by a Swedish studio aggregation called Caramba. The leader of this "band" was none other than Abba's producer, Michael B Tretow.

Yeah, it was hilarious, that ad! It showed an ordinary family at breakfast, when the moustachioed Dad is smitten by how delicious Harvest Crunch is and starts singing 'Hubba Hubba Yum Yum!' He lifts his wife up into the air (she remains in a sitting position all the while with a deadpan expression), does a monkey dance with his son, and then sets off for work walking on his hands. That bit was really funny- you see his pinstriped legs and brogues waving above the garden hedge as he sets off!
