  • THE greatest Motown song..

Almost impossible, due to nearly everything they released being top notch..

Whats your favourite top five Motown numbers??

Jeez..my list is about 50 songs long! I could happily live on a desert island with nothing but the entire Motown catalogue to listen to..
you just NEVER get tired of those songs

        Herein lies the problem..

Motown has soundtracked everyones lives..apart from the teenage chav on the street, but no doubt, in a few years, another TV campaign like the Levis one in 85 will ensure they buy the latest "Best of Motown" when its fashionable

As I said..lthe list of top notch songs, by top notch artists is silly..
Motown is beyond quantification, its just part of life

According to her discography she is doffo in there Daz - and one of our all times was Don't You Make My Brown Eyes Blue !!

And yes, another of our faves WAS Barry - his lyrics said he knew it all ! ( NOT Motown though )

                      Mandy..
despite the fact BM never wrote it.

for old times sake, I'd have to chose Bermuda Triangle, purely because of the awful lyrics..

*lol* Well must admit my fave is 'Can't Smile Without You' - like 'Sunday Father and Son' and 'Don't Talk To Me Of Love' (sung with Mirielle Mathieu famous in this country for her one hit wonder cover of The Last Waltz - Englebert)

Thanks for being a brave lad !!
