  • Guilty Pleasures

The idea of 'guilty pleasures' tracks (songs you wouldn't admit to listening to but secretly love) seems to have really taken off in the past year or so with whole radio shows, albums and even club nights dedicated to it. I've got a playlist on the ipod that I happily wallow in whenever I need a pick me up. Here's my top 10 guilty pleasures (although I have loads more) - what are yours?

1.Afternoon Delight - Starland Vocal Band
2.Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft - The Carpenters
    3.Lonely Boy - Andrew Gold
    4.Girls, Girls, Girls - Sailor
5.Everybody Have Fun Tonight - Wang Chung
    6.Alone Again - Gilbert O'Sullivan
    7.Oh Lori - Alessi Brothers
8.You're Moving Out - Carol Bayer Sager
9.Summer (The First Time) - Bobby Goldsboro
10.Blinded by the light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band

Used to love Dollar, my favourite was (i think) a b-side "Love one another"

Ok I just found one to make me go
More music that takes you by surprise really, but I just heard Daniel Bedingfields Album Gotta get thru this, on the first listen I curled my lip, but I just gave it another chance, and I really like it, some of the song seem to be "where I'm at" at the moment, just goes to show some music needs to be given a fair chance before you write if off.

                          I really like

He Dont Love You Like I Love You
                          I Can't Read you
                          Girl Friend
                          If you're not the one
                          and Without The Girl.

                          Guilty as charged.
