  • Tarantula movie

Does anyone remember this movie from the 70's or very early 80's? I think it was Australian or part of it was set in Australia. It scared the living **** out of me when I watched it as a kid. It was about these tarantulas that were being transported in banana crates to various locations, and people would get bitten by them. It definately wasn't Arachnaphobia. Any help on this would be much appreciated as I would really love to watch it again.

Kingdom of the Spiders? Only tarantula film I can think of (apart from Tarantula which was 50's)

Sorry Kass, neither of those sound like it. They both sound a little too far fetched, this was more realistic. Thanks for trying though.

There is actually a film called Tarantulas: the deadly cargo. The spiders are in a coffee bean shipment from S. America tho.

That sounds more like it, though I can't find too much info on it to say it was definately that. But I did read in one of the very short reviews something about oranges. Now I think of it, I think it was orange crates rather than bananas. I think we're on the right track here. Thanks.

There is a small plot summary here, mentions coffee beans and oranges.
