  • Most Embarrassing Record in your collection!

We all have one (some of us even have several!), those records that we prey never tumble out of the rack when we have guests round!

My shameful piece of vinyl is one I bought some years ago from a car boot.

For those of a certain age the name "Animal Kwackers' will mean something!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UZPE4iO5GM

There I was browsing through the string pictures and foot spas when out of a box popped the Animal Kwackers double album!

Being a big fan of this show way back in 1975 or so, I really wanted it, however could I suffer the humiliation of buying it?

As I was attending this 'boot' on my own I didn't have my kids there to get it for me, so I took the plunge!

The guy selling looked at me like I was a nutter! Still I got him to knock the price down to 20p!

Safe to say that only a select few (close family and those I pay a small monthly fee to, to keep quiet!) know that this album lives in my collection.

So lets have them then. Those records, cds or tapes that should never ever see the light of day!

    P.S. According to this my album's worth £ 20.00!

    Nice !

        I don't have one, as I don't have a collection anymore.
all my music is MP3'd and on my PC, but I have owned, in the past...

        Styx- Babe
        Dean Friedman-Lucky Stars
        Whitney Houston-Greatest Love of all

Embarassing enough for me, thought some may still have 'em

I've got plenty of, what a lot of folks would term, embarrassing records (yes, real vinyl!) in my collection but hey, you can't help the music you like, no matter how unfashionable it may seem.

I might get rid of that Claire Rayner talking about childbirth album a mate got me for Xmas one year as a laugh, though.

Sadly, I also have to admit I've seen Mr Friedman live.
It was at a festival, so I didn't pay to see him alone, he was just on the bill.
Actually he was very good, as was Peter Sarstedt, who was also playing on that stage. Acts like that are perfect for family festivals as they actually bother to interact with the audience

I just got some of my old Vinyl from my parents house, and I swear it was not mine...honest but in my record collection now is a Spitting Image album with THE CHICKEN SONG.

                Altogether now
"Hold a chicken in the air, stick a deck-chair up your nose. Buy a Jumbo-Jet, and then bury all your clothes..."
I've just bought a house. It's got a Buck Rogers Toilet. One yank, all gone!"

For me it's toss up between "Sheila B Devotion - singing in the rain" or "Sesame street fever the album" you can't get much worse than that, can you?
