  • Hits of....

    Another vague memory.....

I can remember my brother buying (or receiving as presents) LP's which was called something like Hits of.... (1970) (1971). The songs were never sung buy the original artists, and the cover always had a woman (girl) dressed up in a football kit. Ring any bells for anyone? or was it just a dream.....

There were another series, we had one with a girl in an Arsenal kit standing in a goal. I think one of the tracks on it was 'Hickory Holler's Tramp'.
I've never understood what the hell that song was about

                  Ahh! It finally makes sense..
Hickory Holler is a place, whereas I was thinking it was a person..
Thats why the chorus never made sense to me
