  • RIP - Arthur C. Clarke

Who remembers watching Arthur C. Clarkes Mysterious World in the 70's?
That program used to scare me a lot but it added to the wonder of the world around me. Arthur's delivery and summing up of each case with his distinctive voice and the title sequence with the crystal skulls remain a classic memory of my childhood.

    RIP Arthur

He's a sad loss--- I still remember the awe I felt watching 2001 for the first time on big screen.

I also still find myself showing off with the HAL/IBM thing to grandkids etc once they've gotten old enough to watch the film themselves !

I remember his mysterious world series. It was bloody brilliant! He will be sadly missed.

What a fantastic author and visionary this man was. He "invented" the geo stationary satellite back in the 40s too!!
