Betsy Wetsy was first produced by the Ideal Toys Corporation in 1934, however, it experience far more popularity in the 1950's and 60's in 8-inch, 13-inch, and 22-inch sizes. She was a baby doll that... well, you guessed it... wet herself!Originally called Little Miss Betsy Wetsy, Betsy had a tiny open mouth in which the "mom" could insert the filled bottle with the results coming out of Betsy's other end!Betsy Wetsy's head was hard plastic and her body soft plastic/latex with jointed shoulders and hips. In the late 1980's, a failing 'Ideal' company reissued the Betsy Wetsy doll with a made-in-China version, but it didn't catch on.
