  • Tufty Club :)

Been trying to find a devoted Tufty Club thread! It has been mentioned here and in one other thread.

I was so pleased to discover all the little animations online recently.

My mum was the co-organisor of The Tufty Club at my junior school. We were 'required' to go along every Saturday morning. We watched short films, looked at pictures and sang the Tufty Club song. I think there were even little badges!

            huggie!

Oh, that picture brings back memories. Thanks for making a devoted thread!

I recall one time in this club, the pianist didn't look as though they were gonna turn up. I was only about 8 but could pick out little tunes on the piano. They asked me to play when we all sang the song. I was very nervous and didn't really want to but agreed. As we got to the point where we were about to sing, the pianist turned up and I was, well, ...brushed aside! Ah, the things we remember.

And I've just found out from my mother, there were indeed little badges one could be awarded. Proper metal ones. None of ya' plasic rubbish

EDIT: I've always been a slow typer and in the time it's taken me to write my post, I see you've added the pics of the badges. I haven't seen them in 35 years. Oh my, o my...
