  • comic fairs

    unfortunatly in ireland where i live theres not a great deal of these.
    i used to go to the uk to look for stuff. nec birmingham etc
    but i now find charity shops a treat. picked up some lovely items . but theres few and far between now
    famous 5 books being my last find
    love reading them even at my age still

    Even they are more aware than they were.
    In my collection I have a paperback valued at £80-£100, which I acquired for £40.
    In pencil on the cover, "2p", from the time it went through a charity shop or a jumble sale. Someone got a massive bargain at some point!
    It was 2/6 in old money when new. 12.5p.
    "It's never too late to have a happy childhood."
