Don't know when this romantic drama was made but I saw it on TV about 10-12 yrs ago. The movie's about college age kids at a college of performing arts (possibly/probably in New York). The student involved played classical orchestral instruments (violin, bass, cello) I remember their final "exam" is to play a piece as either a solo, duet, trio or quartet. Not sure if this group of friends was a trio or quartet but there was a girl and 2 or 3 boys that were all friends. Of course, there's a love triangle with the girl and 2 of the boys and as a result of an argument, one of the boys does not show up for the "final" leaving the others in a lurch. I think he ends up running in at the last minute and joining them.
I remember them throughout the movie practicing in a loft apartment with windows all over the ceiling - almost like a green house look.
I know this isn't much to go on. The music was fairly classical and really good.
Sure would love to know the title and see it again.
