  • Fishtail Parkas

I was part of the mini-mod revival (which incorparated ska) and my mate and I had a fishtail parka like they had in the sixties. It's unfortunate that I don't have a photo of us wearing them but I just wondered how many others on here had similiar attire? I used to go to local discos in the 2-tone stuff complete with trilby and we thought that we were really cool, LOL.

We bought our parkas from a local specialist shop as they were very hard to come by. I ended up selling mine to a girl in our school after I got bored with it.

Aye. We did look smart though in contrast to punks. I wore either a fred perry or half collar shirt complete with Madness tie or one of those long sleeved hooped jumpers with a collar with 2 tone trousers (petrol/wine, wine/black or navy/beige), winkle pickers and fishtail.
