    Does anyone remember Cherie Lunghi?
Cherie Lunghi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

in the early 80s she appeared in a great made for TV thriller called Praying Mantis.
    Praying Mantis (1982) (TV)

at about the same time (1982) she was in play with Ian Holm on BBC.
On the big screen she played Guinevere in Excalibur

I saw her in a drama a few months ago and then in Strictly Come Dancing on youtube. she still looks pretty much the same but she was a really stunner back in the day.

Yeah, she touted instant coffee too.

Liked her in The Manageress about a female football boss. Perish the thought. My beloved blues trotting out in designer kit with matching kit bag.

I never found her all that attractive to be honest. Good actress though.

It is available on VHS still and crops up for sale now and again, but sadly no DVD release is planned (yet!). Was a cracking dark thriller and still a good one to watch.

thats a pretty impressing site. very nicely laid out and lots of info.

i have not seen Praying Mantis since it first screened in UK.
i think i have the cutting from TV times the week it was shown.
just hope Praying Mantis comes out on DVD.

i also remember seeing the moliere play with ian holm set in the 1920s.
and of course Excalibur, i remember her using needle and thread to stitch up Lancelot's wound.

we havent got casualty 1900s over here it (australia) but it looks very interesting.

Many thanks for the comments - I've never seen that Moliere play. Whilst we are on the topic of Cherie she gave a very good interview in the Mail the other day, which I put on our forum, but here's a link.

Casualty 1900s is coming out on DVD in July, not sure if it's region 2 or region free.

                    Cheers.

A nice clip there, do you mind if we post it on the site?

Are they showing Casualty 1900s down in Oz yet?

                          hi Steve
please feel free to post it on your site.
no word on Casualty 1900s being shown over here (not on free to air TV anyway)
if it is shown it will be probably on ABC (which screens plenty of UK shows).
