Does anyone remember Applause bars, made by Mars in the 1980s - it was a biscuit base topped with chewy apple caramel and covered in mars chocolate. Can find no-one who recalls them.

Neither do any of the thirtysomethings I know remember Go Go bars which we used to buy at the school tuck shop in the eighties, bit like Wham bars but luminous green (ah...all those E numbers...) and tasted of washing up liquid. They were great. Have I just dreamt these two products up?

I remember both of these.

Go Go bars were really strange as they also had bits of black crystalised sugar in them, which my Mum claimed to look like grit.

I can remember Applause being advertised a lot in the early 1990s, I never had one as I don't like apples.

I remember Go bars in the late 1980s, which came in a red & white wrapper.

The ad's used a resing of Chuck Berry's Jonny G Goode.

We do have Go bar wrappers on the forum, but sadly you cant search two letter words!
