  • RIP Sir Bobby Robson

Sadly, Sir Bobby Robson today lost his fight with cancer aged 76. Sir Bobby was a former England player and coached the team during the 1986 and 1990 world cups. In recent times was the coach of Newcastle Utd. Will be sadly missed.

Very sad news, he was the first England manager I remember.

I was said to hear this on the radio today, Bobby Robson was always one of the good guys and always seemed like such a nice bloke. RIP Sir Bobby.

I don't think anyone could have a bad word against him, a truly good guy.

Really felt for him after we lost that penalty shoot out in 1990. Never seen a manager look so gutted. They had a player who's name instantly came to mind at the time to describe how I felt but I won't dishonour this thread by saying it.

          R I P Sir Bobby, football will miss you.

            So, so sad.

I loved this man. A true gent, great manager, lovely man and fantastic ambassador for English football.
            I will miss him.
