Hey peeps does anyone remember an animated film in the 80's, it was about a little short fat man who everytime he blew his whistle he would end up in another world or another time with monsters and aliens it was quite a freaky trippy film from what i rememeber but cant think what its called and none of my mates remember it HELP

Thanks guys its puzzled me for months, all i can remember is that the animation was simular to flight of dragons and last unicorn with simular effects to it and these monsters and demons and everything else that goes bump would scare this guy, he would blow on a whistle and spin into another world. there is one part where a monster gets the whistle and ends up in a different world instead of the guy ????
