  • Christmas Book

i vaguely remember a book which was about santas day, late 80's early 90's which was quite cartoony but he seemed quite moody in it, i remember him having sausages for breakfast. the cover was blue with his face in it, thats all i can remember but would love to know what it was called and if you can still buy it

I think it's 'Father Christmas' - written and illustrated by Raymond Briggs.

It was originally published in 1973 but is still in print. There have been a number of different covers but this is probably the version you remember..

The story is about how he spends Christmas Eve, fed up and moaning about 'Blooming chimneys' and the bad weather!

There was a follow-up book where he goes on holiday, which I remember reading at school & thinking it was quite funny.
